Revealed: Angélica Rivera’s Alleged Conditions for Returning to Telenovelas

The famous Mexican actress Angélica Rivera, known for being the ex-wife of former president Enrique Peña Nieto, is reportedly making her way back to television. Recent information suggests that she is currently involved in the filming of a new telenovela.

According to Univision correspondent Inés Moreno, the filming of this television project has already begun. This could mark Rivera’s return to the small screen after years of absence from acting.

However, the production is said to come with strict conditions. Moreno shared some details on Radio Fórmula, stating, “The recordings have started, but they are doing it with utmost discretion. They are practically in a bunker, tightly closed off, recording in one of the last sound stages at Argos, the Mexican production company.”

Angélica Rivera has been away from acting for several years now. To maintain confidentiality, workers and cast members are required to surrender their cell phones before entering the set to prevent any leaks of information or images.

Moreno elaborated, “No one who is not part of this production can enter, similar to famous wedding protocols where cell phones are taken. Everyone has to give up their phones before entering the filming stage.”

Additionally, Rivera has requested to work only a few hours a day, Monday through Friday. The production team has made arrangements to accommodate her preferred schedule, ensuring they respect her time constraints.

“She wants to record only about five hours a day, starting around 9 or 10 in the morning and wrapping up by 3 in the afternoon. This was one of her conditions for taking on this series, and the team has prepared a system to stick to this schedule,” said Moreno. The actress is reportedly working on a new version of the beloved telenovela “Mirada de Mujer.”

Angélica Rivera was once one of the most beloved actresses in Mexican television, starring in popular telenovelas such as “Destilando Amor,” “Ángela,” and “Simplemente María.” However, she stepped away from the limelight in 2007 after marrying Enrique Peña Nieto. During his presidency, she served as the First Lady of Mexico. The couple separated in 2019 amid rumors of a troubled relationship.
