Rick Springfield is set to host a special concert in Colorado on August 29 to support Pepper’s Senior Dog Sanctuary. The event, named “Raise the Ruff” and presented by Besty BnB, aims to raise funds for the nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing older dogs.
The concert will feature a cocktail hour, live and silent auctions, and a seated dinner. Proceeds from the event will help fund programs that assist at-risk senior dogs, who in turn provide animal-assisted learning opportunities to underserved adults with disabilities, neurological disorders, and learning differences.
Pepper’s Senior Dog Sanctuary, co-founded by Mary Leprino, focuses on easing the overcrowding of local shelters by providing lifelong care to dogs that might otherwise be euthanized. Leprino shared that the sanctuary only rescues dogs from shelters, ensuring that every dog has a chance at adoption, even those deemed unadoptable due to medical or behavioral issues.
The sanctuary hopes to attract over 1,500 guests and raise more than $500,000 through the event. Tickets for the Raise the Ruff concert with Rick Springfield are available for purchase.
