Rihanna and A$AP Rocky may be parents, but they’re still in touch with their playful side — or, at the very least, one of them is! The couple, who are parents to RZA, 2, and Riot Rose, 10 months, showed a glimpse of the sillier side of their dynamic in a new video, which Rihanna shared on Instagram on Friday, June 28.
The clip shows the singer, 36, rocking big red sunglasses while enthusiastically dancing and rapping “TGIF” by GloRilla. As she put on the mini performance, Rocky, 35, watched with his hands on his hips — and a jokingly disapproving look on his face. His reaction only seemed to fuel the Fenty Beauty founder’s fire, however, as she responded by kicking it up a notch, dancing even more raucously and whipping around her jacket before throwing it toward the camera. Then, as Rihanna laughed off camera, the rapper shook his head and walked off while declaring, “I’m too old for this.”
“Happy Friday,” the singer wrote alongside the clip, which got some love from several of the couple’s friends and admirers. “I love this,” Keke Palmer commented, while Willow Smith declared the pair “the most iconic.”
The adorable video comes about a week after Rocky and Rihanna served up some date night looks at the “Praise the Lord” rapper’s Paris Fashion Week show — the A$AP Rocky X American Sabotage by AWGE: Front Row menswear Spring/Summer 2025 show — on Friday, June 21. The beauty and fashion mogul rocked a short white dress, a fur-trimmed bomber jacket, and bright red sunglasses — the same ones she wore in the video — while watching the show. She was seen holding her phone out to document the designs as they came down the runway, footage from the event shows.
Rocky also dressed for the occasion — and complemented Rihanna — in a black bomber jacket and oversized sunglasses. The “L$D” rapper revealed at the event that his new album, Don’t Be Dumb, will be released on Aug. 30.
Rocky and Rihanna were close friends and collaborators for nearly a decade before they began a romantic relationship, which PEOPLE confirmed in November 2020. “They have always had a solid friendship and the romance just enhanced that,” a music management source told PEOPLE last month, noting that for the duo, “family comes first.” At the time, another source told PEOPLE that the couple is “doing a great job raising their kids.” “He’s very supportive of Rihanna too,” the insider added of Rocky, noting that the two often support each other at their work-related events. “They’re both extremely driven and hard-working,” the source continued. “He’s the same way — you’ll never hear him complain. They’re amazing together. Rihanna truly seems the happiest.”
The couple attended the music festival in Indio, California, together on April 13. A$AP Rocky and Rihanna were spotted watching Tyler the Creator perform at the music festival on Saturday, April 13, after Rocky, 35, joined the Grammy-winner onstage for a surprise performance during his set. Rocky high-fived fans as he and Rihanna headed to a spot in the middle of the field in Indio, Calif., to catch Tyler’s show. Moments earlier, the rapper had surprised concertgoers when he had joined Tyler onstage to perform “Potato Salad” and “Who Dat Boy,” with him. Rocky and Rihanna appeared to be having fun during the set as they hugged and kissed each other while watching the “Earfquake” rapper perform songs including “IFHY.” The couple was also seen walking arm-in-arm together at the festival as they showcased their Coachella outfits.
Rihanna looked stylish as ever in her edgy festival look as she wore a gray hoodie and a black leather mini skirt paired with black thigh-high boots with buckle-straps across the back of the legs. She brought extra glamor to her outfit by adding a sweeping cream furry cape. The “Diamonds” singer had her hair styled in a messy updo with a stack of embellished necklaces and orange shades. Rocky, meanwhile, stood out in a black beanie with white hair clips pinned to it and a light blue vest over a black sweater, along with a pair of super low-rise jeans.
During his set on Saturday, April 13, Tyler brought out several surprise guests to perform with him, including Childish Gambino, followed by Rocky and Kali Uchis. Charlie Wilson also accompanied the rapper on the piano for his song “EARFQUAKE.”
Rihanna and Rocky’s appearance at Coachella together comes after the singer praised her boyfriend for his fashion sense while chatting with Interview magazine for its spring 2024 issue. The “Umbrella” singer admitted that the rapper outshined her in the style department. “I be feeling bummy as s— next to this man. I feel like, goddamn, I look like his assistant,” she joked in the interview. “I’m getting on a plane. We should be in sweats. He wants to be in a full Bottega suit. I’m like, ‘Why you got to do that to me?’” Rihanna added.
