Rob Lowe has still got it.
The “9-1-1: Lone Star” actor, 60, showed off his built body while spending the holiday weekend with his family on his son Matt’s boat in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Saturday. Lowe was photographed wearing a pair of swim trunks as he soaked up the sun while shirtless and even went for a dip in the water.
The actor also shared a special Fourth of July selfie on Instagram on Thursday. “Happy 4th! God bless the USA!” he captioned the pic of him posed in front of a set of roses gathered to depict the American flag.
Lowe opened up about his fit and healthy lifestyle in February, revealing that he opts to focus on sustainable and thoughtful choices rather than quick trends or heavily restrictive diets. “I’m trying to be even more disciplined now as I’m older just because as you get older, you need to watch what you eat even more than when you were younger,” Lowe told People at the time.
“So I tried to cut sugar completely as my new year’s resolution. And now I’m figuring, OK, that’s not sustainable for me, but how do I really watch my sugar consumption?” The “St. Elmo’s Fire” star also voiced his concerns about weight loss fads like Ozempic, saying he worries about the effect the drug will have on people. “I see people who are taking all the new weight loss drugs and that’s great, and it’s really changed their lives. But my concern always is, ‘OK, now what?’” Lowe said. “What’s the plan for the longevity of everything?” he wondered.
Lowe also proudly showed off his body with a shirtless selfie last year which he posted on Instagram as he celebrated 33 years of sobriety. “33 years ago today I found recovery and a tribe that has sustained me on my incredible, grateful journey,” he captioned the post. “My life is full of love, family, God, opportunity, friends, work, dogs and fun.”
“If you or someone you know is struggling with any form of addiction: hope and joy are waiting if you want it, and are willing to work for it!” he closed.

Rob was joined by his two sons Matt, 31, and John, 29, as the two enjoyed some quality father-son time together. The pair later went fishing as they were joined by a group of friends on Matt’s boat, The Bigger Jigger. Getting into the festive spirit, John was also seen shirtless as he wore an American flag headband while fishing with his bucket. Beaming from ear to ear, Rob later covered up in a pale blue shirt as he relaxed in the boat with his pals.
Rob shares his two sons with his makeup artist wife Sheryl Berkoff, who he tied the knot with in 1991. The star joined a host of celebrities celebrating Independence Day as Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, and Katy Perry also marked the day. Mark was seen with his family in a group photo as he wrote in his caption: “Wishing my fellow Americans a happy and safe 4th of July!! ❤️.”

The 39-year-old superstar started the Fourth of July off with a bang as she shared a sizzling snap of herself in a patriotic top, covered in rhinestones, and a red bandana with white polka dots.
Earlier this year, Rob celebrated his 60th birthday with a star-studded soirée in Santa Barbara while clad in a sleek black pinstripe suit. The Floor producer-host, who hit the milestone on March 17, hired a live band to entertain the crowd until 1:30 am. Talking about turning 60, he told People in March: “I love the milestone birthdays, because it really is an opportunity to reflect and to think about where you want to go.”
“I’m so humbled and grateful that I have never had more things that are interesting to me going on in my life. Never felt better. My relationships and every level, I’m in the pocket and this is exactly the way I want to go into my next decade.” Rob invited family and A-list friends such as American Idol judge Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom. Cameron Diaz and his pal Robert Downey Jr. were also present at the big bash.
