Rosy McEwen Joins George MacKay in Paul Wright’s Mission

Rosy McEwen, known for her role in “Blue Jean,” has been cast in “Mission,” the latest film by Scottish director Paul Wright. McEwen will star alongside George MacKay, who plays the lead character, Dylan. The film is described as a “punk exploration” of Dylan’s journey as he breaks free from his isolated life to experience the extremes of existence.

Supported by BBC Film, Screen Scotland, and Ffilm Cymru Wales, with funding from the National Lottery, “Mission” is a co-production between Early Day Films and 65 Wilding Films. The project was developed with the assistance of Screen Scotland and BBC Film. Blue Finch Films is responsible for worldwide sales.

Rosy McEwen gained recognition for her performance in Georgia Oakley’s indie film “Blue Jean,” earning a BIFA for best leading performance. She will also appear in Athina Rachel Tsangari’s “Harvest” alongside Caleb Landry-Jones and in “Rabbit Trap” with Dev Patel. McEwen is represented by Curtis Brown Group, CAA, Public Eye Communications, and Goodman Genow Schenkman Smelkinson & Christopher LLP.
