Shannen Doherty’s friends believed she had "more time" to live. The beloved actress, known for her role in Beverly Hills, 90210, passed away on July 13 at the age of 53 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Her death has left her friends heartbroken.
Holly Marie Combs, Shannen’s former co-star from Charmed, shared that they were working together on a new podcast titled The House of Halliwell alongside their fellow cast members Brian Krause and Drew Fuller in the weeks leading up to Shannen’s passing.
During a special tribute episode of the podcast dedicated to Shannen, Holly expressed her sadness, saying, "One of the saddest parts for me is that she really wanted this new podcast. She wanted to watch the episodes with Rose (McGowan). One of the last times we were together, we watched the first two episodes as if we were teenagers again. I’ve had some time to reflect on that, and everything went well. I think she did everything she could with the time she had. But we thought she would have more time, and that’s the truly sad part. You know, we had big, big plans for this year. She didn’t think she was leaving us so soon, and I know that sounds terribly cliché until it happens to you."
Holly also mentioned that Shannen felt a sense of happiness in her final days. She added, "I want everyone to know that she was super happy to be here and was genuinely excited to do new things, as she put it."
The loss of Shannen Doherty has left a significant void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, but her spirit continues to inspire through the memories and projects she left behind.
