Shin Lim, the renowned magician behind the Mirage’s long-standing magic show “Limitless,” has officially relocated his residency to the Venetian’s Palazzo Theatre. This move comes as the Mirage prepares for its transformation into the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Guitar Hotel Las Vegas, necessitating the relocation or conclusion of several of its attractions.
“We’re honored to move Limitless to the larger and newly renovated The Palazzo Theatre and to have an opportunity to build a new set after so many amazing years getting to entertain fans at The Mirage,” Lim said in a statement. “We’ve been hard at work on an all-new show, and we can’t wait to welcome fans this fall.”
Shin Lim, an “America’s Got Talent” alumnus, has been a staple on the Las Vegas Strip since 2019. His unique approach to close-up magic has redefined the genre, captivating audiences with his intricate and mesmerizing routines. The Venetian, in a recent release, emphasized Lim’s impact on the magic scene, noting his ability to present close-up magic in a revolutionary way.
Tickets for “Limitless” at the Mirage are still available through July 14, just days before the resort is set to close for a comprehensive renovation. Lim’s debut at the Venetian is scheduled for October, with tickets going on sale next month. Patrick Nichols, president and CEO of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, expressed his excitement about the new residency, stating, “Shin Lim has been mesmerizing audiences in Las Vegas since 2019 and we cannot wait for our guests to experience the magic of Limitless. Limitless fills out the entertainment programming in our four theatres creating the most diverse entertainment under one roof on the Las Vegas Strip.”
The relocation of Lim’s show is part of a broader shift caused by the Mirage’s transition. Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, acquired the Mirage from MGM Resorts International in 2022 for over $1 billion. This acquisition has led to the displacement of several performers and shows, including the iconic Cirque Du Soleil show, the Beatles “LOVE,” and Center Stage Comedy, all of which are set to close by July 6.
The Mirage will temporarily shut down on July 17 to undergo its rebranding, which includes the construction of a nearly 700-foot guitar-shaped hotel tower, an expansion of the property’s hotel rooms and other spaces, and the removal of the historic volcano show. The new Hard Rock resort is projected to open in spring 2027.
Shin Lim’s move to the Palazzo Theatre marks a significant chapter in his career. Since winning the 13th season of “America’s Got Talent,” Lim has garnered numerous awards and accolades, further solidifying his status as a top-tier magician. His return to the stage this fall is highly anticipated, with fans eager to see the new elements he will bring to his show.
“We’re honored to move Limitless to the larger and newly renovated The Palazzo Theatre and to have an opportunity to build a new set after so many amazing years getting to entertain fans at The Mirage,” Lim reiterated. The new shows are set to begin in October, with tickets available for purchase starting Monday, July 15.
Lim’s journey from “America’s Got Talent” to becoming a Las Vegas legend is a testament to his talent and dedication. His ability to captivate audiences with his close-up magic has made him a beloved figure in the entertainment world. As he prepares to take the stage at the Palazzo Theatre, fans can expect an all-new show that promises to be as mesmerizing and magical as ever.
