Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise in June 2012 when Suri was just six years old. In court documents from November 2013, Holmes revealed that she left Cruise to protect Suri from Scientology, a religion often referred to as a cult. Former Scientology spokesperson Mike Rinder confirmed that Suri is not a Scientologist and never will be, emphasizing that she deserves love and sympathy.
