Premiering on November 22, “Outlander” Season 7 Part 2 will see Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan reprising their roles as Claire and Jamie. The couple will leave the American colonies during the Revolutionary War, accompanied by young Ian (John Bell), to return to their beloved homeland of Scotland. Meanwhile, Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) will face new challenges across different timelines.

In addition to Balfe, Heughan, Bell, Rankin, and Skelton, the cast of “Outlander” Season 7 Part 2 includes David Berry as Lord John Grey, Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom, Izzy Meikle-Small as Rachel Hunter, and Joey Phillips as Denzell Hunter.

The first images of “Outlander” Season 7 Part 2 have been released, showcasing the beloved characters in various dramatic and emotional scenes. Fans can expect the same high level of storytelling and production quality that has made “Outlander” a global phenomenon.

Looking ahead, the “Outlander” prequel series “Blood of My Blood” is set to premiere in 2025. This new series will extend Jamie and Claire’s love story by exploring the romantic lives of their parents in vastly different timelines and environments.

“Blood of My Blood” will follow Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (played by Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (played by Jeremy Irvine), as they navigate the complexities of World War I-era England. Simultaneously, the series will delve into the relationship between Jamie’s parents, Brian (played by Jamie Roy) and Ellen (played by Harriet Slater), set in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands.

The first images from “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” offer a tantalizing glimpse into the new series. The photos feature Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater as Brian and Ellen, as well as Jeremy Irvine and Hermione Corfield as Henry and Julia. These images promise a rich and immersive experience, capturing the essence of the different time periods and the emotional depth of the characters’ relationships.

In addition to the main cast, Starz has announced additional casting for “Outlander: Blood of My Blood.” Brian McCardie will play Isaac Grant, the leader of Clan Grant, while Jhon Lumsden will portray his son, Malcolm, a potential suitor for Ellen MacKenzie. Sara Vickers has been cast as Davina Porter, a housekeeper in the Lovat household and mother to Brian Fraser. Peter Mullan will take on the role of Red Jacob MacKenzie, Laird of Clan MacKenzie and father to Ellen, Dougal, Colum, Janet, and Jocasta.

“Outlander: Blood of My Blood” will explore the lives and relationships of Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, and Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp. The series will center on these two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie’s parents in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in World War I England. Production on the 10-episode season is currently underway in Scotland.

The “Outlander” television series, inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books, has become a worldwide success, spanning the genres of history, science fiction, romance, and adventure. The series has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide, with all nine books gracing the New York Times best-seller list.

Matthew B. Roberts will serve as showrunner and executive producer on both “Outlander” and “Outlander: Blood of My Blood.” Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis will also executive produce, having developed “Outlander” for television under their production banner Tall Ship Productions. Story Mining & Supply Company will also executive produce, and Diana Gabaldon will serve as a consulting producer. “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” is produced by Sony Pictures Television and will be available across all STARZ platforms in the U.S. and Canada.

As “Outlander” celebrates its 10th anniversary this summer, fans can look forward to the back eight episodes of its seventh season this November. Production has also recently begun on the 10-episode eighth season, which will be the final television season of the series.

The “Outlander” franchise continues to captivate audiences with its rich storytelling, complex characters, and historical depth. With the upcoming release of “Outlander” Season 7 Part 2 and the prequel series “Blood of My Blood,” fans have much to look forward to in the coming years.
