In recent weeks, Eduardo Capetillo has become a trending topic across media and social networks. His invite to the public to visit the Capetillo ranch, alongside his daughter Alejandra’s recent engagement, has captured the attention of the press.
It’s important to remember that before his prominent role in “Juego de Voces,” where he appeared with his eldest son, Eduardo Capetillo Gaytán, Eduardo was one of Televisa’s most beloved and acclaimed celebrities. He became one of the highest-paid actors in the industry.
Capetillo’s first big break came in 1985 when he joined the musical group Timbiriche, stepping in for Benny Ibarra. It was during this time that he met Biby Gaytán, who would become his wife and the mother of his children. After four years, he left the band to pursue a solo career, which took off thanks to his involvement in the soundtrack of the telenovela “Alcanzar una estrella,” which he starred in alongside Mariana Garza.
From then on, Capetillo’s success on television skyrocketed. He starred in numerous productions, including “Baila Conmigo,” “Dos mujeres, un camino,” “¡Vivan los niños!,” “Amy, la de la mochila azul,” “Peregrina,” “Fuego en la sangre,” and “Soy tu dueña.”
Although he stepped away from Televisa a few years ago, during his time in the spotlight, he became the leading man of telenovelas, earning a reputation as one of the highest-paid personalities. Reports indicate that Capetillo earned as much as $30,000 per telenovela, translating to over half a million pesos.
Additionally, while he was under contract with Televisa, he could charge for exclusivity. Even during breaks or when he didn’t have a project, he was paid more than 200,000 pesos monthly. After moving away from acting, he focused on his ranch, where he invested a significant portion of his earnings.
Despite no longer concentrating solely on acting, he still makes occasional appearances on some shows. His latest project is “Juego de Voces,” where he performed alongside notable figures such as Mijares, Erik RubÃn, and Alicia Villarreal.
In late June, Eduardo Capetillo announced that he was opening the doors of Rancho Capetillo to the public. He encouraged everyone to consider the venue for celebrations of all kinds. Located just 35 minutes from Mexico City, the ranch is perfect for any special occasion.
According to various media outlets, the ranch, also known as La Residencia Capetillo-Gaytán, was built by Eduardo and Biby and is infused with love, life, and tradition.
In a video announcement, Capetillo expressed, “Dear friends, today I decide to open the doors of Rancho Capetillo to all of you. If you have any type of event, we are here to welcome you.” He added that the ranch features four different gardens, a bullfighting salon, a chapel, and a picturesque lake, equipped to accommodate various events and guest counts.
The announcement was positively received by his followers, who fondly recalled the many family moments shared at the ranch. Their daughters, Ana Pau and Alejandra, often post photos showcasing the interior of their home, which is now open for public visits.
