Stunt coordinator and second unit director George Cottle recently revealed an exciting detail about the upcoming film “Deadpool & Wolverine.” In a post on Instagram, he shared that Harry Holland, the brother of Tom Holland, is part of the stunt team for the film.

Cottle expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “When [Shawn Levy] and [Ryan Reynolds] set the bar so f’ing high, even the stunt team needed a special guest star!! It may not [be] the Holland the world wanted, but it was the Holland we all needed!!”

Along with his message, Cottle included a behind-the-scenes photo of Harry Holland, who portrays a variant of Deadpool in the film. He praised Harry’s performance, saying, “You smashed it my friend,” and added the hashtag #Haroldpool.

The inclusion of Harry Holland in the film has taken many by surprise, including Ryan Reynolds himself. The actor shared Cottle’s post on his own Instagram story, humorously questioning, “This is how I find out?!? You tell me?”

This isn’t Harry Holland’s first foray into the Marvel universe. He previously appeared in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” as a bicycle thief, although his scene was cut from the original release. However, it was later included in the extended version of the film, titled “Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version.”

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is packed with cameos and Easter eggs, featuring numerous characters from the X-Men franchise, including Sabretooth and Pyro from the earlier 20th Century Fox films. The film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, has already made waves at the box office, debuting with an impressive $211 million domestically, marking it as one of the biggest openings in cinematic history.

As the film continues to break records, Reynolds has shared his thoughts on its success. He described “Deadpool & Wolverine” as a unique blend of humor, action, and heart, aiming to appeal to a broad audience. He stated, “Disney probably doesn’t want me to frame it this way, but I’ve always thought of Deadpool & Wolverine as the first four-quadrant, R-rated film.”

Despite its R-rating, Reynolds emphasized that the film is designed to be enjoyable for viewers of all ages, sharing a personal anecdote about watching the film with his mother and his nine-year-old daughter, both of whom found it hilarious.

The film has received an official R-rating for its strong bloody violence, language, gore, and sexual references. The synopsis humorously describes the plot, stating, “Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date – Deadpool & Wolverine. A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctant Wolverine.”

In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, the film features returning characters played by Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Rob Delaney, Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna. Newcomers Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen will also join the cast, portraying a TV agent and Charles Xavier’s evil counterpart, respectively.

Directed by Shawn Levy, “Deadpool & Wolverine” is set to hit theaters on July 26, and will be available in various formats, including IMAX and Dolby Cinema. The anticipation surrounding the film continues to grow, with fans eager to see how the story unfolds and how Harry Holland’s role will contribute to the overall narrative.

As the release date approaches, excitement builds not only for the film itself but also for the unexpected connections it brings to the Marvel universe, including the surprising involvement of Tom Holland’s brother. The film promises to deliver a unique experience, blending humor, action, and heartfelt moments, all while maintaining the signature style that fans have come to love from the Deadpool franchise.
