Tom Schwartz and Jax Taylor Announce ‘The Valley’ Premiere Date?

The latest trailer for the new Bravo series “The Valley” is filled with fun moments, but it’s also dropping bombshells about where Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright currently stand with their marriage. Since announcing their recent separation, both former “Vanderpump Rules” stars have been at the center of rumors, theories, and social media speculation. Some answers will seemingly be shown in “The Valley,” premiering Tuesday, March 19, 2024, on Bravo, as demonstrated by the new trailer, which has Jax and Brittany opening up about their relationship woes to friends.

In the new teaser, Jax said he was happy to be in this phase of life where he could enjoy fatherhood and financial security, especially upon opening Jax’s Studio City, the sports bar he co-owns with Brittany. There to help him celebrate was none other than “Vanderpump Rules”’ Tom Schwartz. “It’s only a matter of time before you’re gonna be living with me,” Jax’s long-time friend said in jest. “Divorced and miserable.” What was meant to be a joke could have been foreshadowing, especially upon news that Jax and Brittany — who married in 2019 and share a toddler son, Cruz — are “taking some time apart,” as Brittany put it.

On a March 8, 2024 episode of the couple’s podcast, “When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany,” they said cameras were back up and running since filming for “The Valley” wrapped in September. Both vehemently denied their split was part of a publicity stunt. “It’s gonna be such a good show,” Brittany emphasized. “There’s so many positive things that we go through, there’s a lot of drama but, you know. It’s a lot going on.”

Drama between the married couple is front and center in the new trailer. Both argue over the prospect of having a second child, something Jax referred to as “worrisome.” Later, Brittany gave more details about their bumpy marriage when in conversation with Janet Caperna. “I don’t feel like he’s attracted to me,” Brittany said. “Like, we don’t have sex ever.” In another clip, Jax told his wife: “I don’t know how to manage raising a child, raising a family, starting a business.”

Things got especially heated in front of the rest of the cast when Brittany and Jax got into a screaming match. “You’re my f-cking husband, and you’re trying to make me look like I’m a bad person?” Brittany yelled. “F-ck you!” “She has a f-cking problem,” Jax angrily pointed out to the others. The couple previously said on their podcast that their breakup had “zero to do with” alcohol and drinking — as has been the case in some of Jax’s past relationships — although the new trailer does tease accusations of cheating.

In the trailer, Janet and her husband, Jason Caperna, go back and forth over rumors of “Jax cheating online” before cameras cut to Jax talking to Michelle Lally about her allegedly “texting sexy pictures” to a mysterious someone. Could this contribute to other relationships in “The Valley” being on the brink of divorce? “Do you want this relationship to work?” asked Michelle’s husband and Jax’s long-time friend, Jesse Lally. “I don’t know,” Michelle answered.

“Vanderpump Rules” alum Kristen Doute also finds herself at the center of the Lallys’ tension, smirking when Michelle yells, “Do you know what you have done to my marriage and my life and my daughter?” “Your husband said on camera that he’s gonna divorce you,” Kristen claimed in response.

The fired former stars of “Vanderpump Rules” are going to make sure, whether we like it or not, that we all tune into “The Valley.” Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are particularly working overtime by announcing a separation right before the premiere of the spinoff. We can say a lot about Jax and Brittany, but they do know how to cause drama that we can’t look away from; much like a car crash.

Ahead of the premiere of “The Valley,” Bravo dropped a full trailer that gives us more of an indication of what’s to come. As expected, Jax and Brittany’s fumbling marriage is the main point of conversation. But don’t fret — Kristen Doute, as always, makes her presence loud and clear.

It’s pretty evident from the two-minute trailer that Jax’s midlife crisis is on full display on “The Valley.” He kicked off the trailer in a hopeful mood, only for it to be torn down by Tom Schwartz. Jax started off by showing off his new bar and bragging about how good his life was at the moment. “It’s only a matter of time before you’re living with me — divorced and miserable,” Schwartz quipped. Jax laughed it off by telling his friend not to wish him poorly, but Schwartz was definitely onto something.

It’s evident by the trailer that Jax and Brittany are in different places in life. Brittany has baby fever and wants another kid, even though she feels disconnected from her husband. She cried about her love for being a mother and Jax, point blank, told her she wasn’t allowed to do such a thing. “See I can’t even have an emotion,” Brittany cried, only for Jax to clap back, “No, you can’t!” I see we still have the same screaming red flags from Mr. Taylor despite his foray into “adulting.”

Britt revealed that she and Jax weren’t even having sex in their marriage, which was a major problem. In one scene, the pair ended up having a blowout fight in front of their new friends and castmates. “You’re my f*cking husband, and you’re trying to make me look like I’m a bad person. F*ck you,” Brittany said. Jax, who clearly wasn’t going to try to do anything to actually fix the situation, just laughed that Brittany has “a f*cking problem.” She should’ve told him to “Rawt in Hell” right then and there. No wonder the two opted for separation post-filming — this isn’t going to be pretty.

“The Valley” premieres on March 19 at 9/8c.
