Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes support Taylor Swift during Eras Tour in Amsterdam
Travis Kelce once again delighted Swifties on Saturday night by encouraging them to cheer for Taylor Swift as she exited the stage following her third and final Eras Tour show in Amsterdam. In a video captured by a concertgoer, Swift could be seen smiling and waving at the cheering crowd before grabbing the Kansas City Chiefs star’s hand.
Kelce, who has been a constant presence at Swift’s concerts, was seen hyping up the crowd at the Johan Cruijff Arena. Swift grabbed his hand sweetly before they went backstage together. Their friends, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, also attended the Saturday night show. The couple was seen in the stands swaying to the music and embracing each other during the concert. Brittany sparkled in a glittering pajama set from Prada, enjoying the night with her friend, Miranda Hogue.
Kelce was also spotted at the Eras Tour on Friday night, where he sweetly kissed Swift on the head as they exited the arena. He encouraged the audience to continue cheering for her as they walked off holding hands. Swifties have been keeping a close eye on Kelce, especially after he joined Swift on stage during her third Eras Tour performance at Wembley Stadium in London last month. The NFL tight end surprised fans by participating in a transition skit ahead of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” where he even carried Swift to a red couch during the bit.
Reflecting on the experience during an episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, Travis said, “I was up there with three professionals. You can do no wrong with Taylor on stage. [I kept telling myself], ‘Do not drop the baby. Hold onto the baby.’” He admitted that the cameo was his idea, initially suggesting he should ride a bike on stage during the “1989” era with the other dancers. “She found the perfect part of the show to put me in. … It was, like, the safest option,” he added. Travis even teased that fans might see more of him on stage in the future.
Travis has been supportive of Swift throughout her entire tour, flying to various locations such as Argentina, Australia, Singapore, and Ireland to watch her perform. Meanwhile, a source told People that Swift plans to see as many NFL games as possible in the upcoming season to support him. While her tour won’t wrap until December, it won’t be the first time she’s jetted to an NFL game after hopping off stage. Last season, she attended 13 of Travis’ games, including the Super Bowl LVIII.
Swift and Kelce have been dating since July 2023 and have made it clear they would shamelessly support each other, even if that meant being public with their romance. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift said during her Time 2023 Person of the Year profile interview. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Brittany Mahomes and her husband Patrick Mahomes joined Travis Kelce in Amsterdam to cheer on Taylor Swift at a recent stop on her “Eras Tour.” In a fan video shared on social media, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes were seen standing next to Kelce in a suite at Johan Cruijff Arena as they all swayed to the song “Lover.” Brittany also shared snippets from Swift’s last of three stops in Amsterdam, including her bejeweled ensemble for the evening. The mom of two snapped a video selfie with a friend as she donned a black top adorned with small sparkling jewels.
Brittany Mahomes and Swift’s friendship began in September 2023 after the singer attended her first of many Kansas City Chiefs games to support Kelce. As Swift’s relationship with Kelce evolved, she continued to hang out with Brittany Mahomes, along with other football wives, including Paige Buechele and Lyndsay Bell. The entrepreneur and mom of two has also spent time with Swift’s celebrity friend group, including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, and Sophie Turner. Swift and Brittany Mahomes have cheered on their partners at Chiefs games and developed their own celebratory handshake. The friends even twinned on several occasions, including once with matching jewelry and another time with custom puffer jackets designed by Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk.
Kelce has been a frequent attendee at Swift’s “Eras Tour,” attending her recent shows in London and Dublin. In addition to attending Swift’s July 6 show, Kelce also supported his girlfriend during her July 5 concert in Amsterdam. Kelce was spotted by fans in a suite during the show and appeared with Swift after the concert ended. As they walked out of the arena, Swift waved at fans while Kelce hyped her up. Before they left the stadium, Kelce gave Swift a kiss on the head as fans continued to cheer.
The Mahomeses stopped in Amsterdam during their European vacation to support Taylor Swift. Brittany and Patrick Mahomes shared a sweet moment during Taylor Swift’s Saturday night concert in Amsterdam — nearly one year after the quarterback played cupid by inviting the tight end to the singer’s show in Kansas City. Brittany and Patrick were seen swaying and embracing in the audience as Swift played her hit tune “Lover.” Behind them, Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, sang along to the tune as well.
Earlier in the day, Brittany hinted they were flying over for the show, cryptically posting from the airplane, “To our next destination we go.” She then posted a photo from the crowd with her friend Miranda, while dancing in a black sparkly pajama top. Fans took video of the couple standing near Travis Kelce, who was dressed casually in a white T-shirt and a baseball cap. Kelce attended her Friday night show as well and was spotted kissing Swift’s head as they exited the show together.
Both Kansas City Chiefs stars spent a bit of time exploring Europe before meeting up in Amsterdam. While Kelce joined Swift in London and Dublin last month, the Mahomeses spent a few days in Portugal before heading to Spain and then London, where they attended Morgan Wallen’s Fourth of July concert and took in Wimbledon on Friday. Brittany kept her Instagram followers up to date with their summer vacation, posting several photos alongside her and Patrick’s two kids, Sterling Skye, 3, and Bronze, 1. The family of four even color-coordinated some of their vacation looks, with the mother-daughter duo wearing matching orange swimsuits during their beach-side getaway.
Meanwhile, Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, kicked off their Euro summer at the Cannes Lions Festival last month before meeting up with Swift. During a panel, the brothers also spoke about how Travis’ relationship with the pop star has brought a whole new group of listeners to their “New Heights” podcast. “We do have a lot of new football fans coming in,” the Super Bowl champ, 34, shared. “So not just talking football like we would in the locker room, trying to, like, necessarily dumb it down or make it more simple so that everybody can follow along and still enjoy the show.” Jason, who has three daughters, said he loves that the podcast is helping girls “get involved in a sport where previously there wasn’t much interest.”
Travis Kelce is making good on his promise to support Taylor Swift as she trots the globe for her Eras Tour. Just days after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end won the Super Bowl, he hopped a plane for Sydney, Australia to join Swift at a February show, and since then, he’s ping-ponged between acting and hosting gigs in the U.S. and stadiums abroad, rubbed shoulders with royalty and even took to the stage. On Friday, that support meant a trip to Amsterdam, where Swift was playing the second of a three-night-stand at Johan Cruijff Arena.
Fans first suspected that Taylor Swift’s football-playing partner might be in the stadium when social media users noted that she struck an archer pose similar to one Kelce has been known to strike. Fans have speculated that the move is one of Swift’s famous Easter eggs, this one indicating Kelce’s presence. Reports that Kelce was in London on July 4, reportedly golfing with teammate Patrick Mahomes, made this hypothesis feel like less of a sure thing, but a couple of eagle-eyed attendees spotted Kelce in the audience and snagged him for photos. Big Yeti was definitely in the Dutch building.
By the time Swift repeated her now-famous edit to the lyrics to her song “Karma,” trading “karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me” for “karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” the secret was out. Around then, folks in the stadium caught sight of Kelce’s unmistakable silhouette making his way to the backstage area, briefly diverting attention from Swift’s performance. Footage posted by social media users shows that the shorts-and-hoodie clad Kelce reappeared arm-in-arm with Swift at the end of the show. This wasn’t a choreographed appearance along the lines of Kelce’s “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” cameo last month, but it felt equally polished. As the pair strode from the backstage, Kelce raised his arms in an “Are you not entertained?” style entreaty for cheers as Swift waved at the screaming crowd. Then the couple draped their arms around one another and disappeared from view, another chapter in their highly scrutinized romance seemingly written.
