Two Arrested for Sexual Assault of Two Young Women in Laredo (Cantabria) Released Under Certain Conditions

Two young men have been arrested in Laredo after being accused of sexually assaulting two girls. Following the allegations, they were released but are required to appear in court on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Additionally, the First Instance and Instruction Court number 1 in Laredo has imposed a precautionary measure that prohibits both suspects from contacting or approaching the victims, according to judicial sources reported by Europa Press.

The court has initiated an investigation into the sexual assault charges stemming from events reported in mid-June, although specific details about the case have not been disclosed until now.

The suspects were apprehended just hours after the report was made. Both were then placed at the court’s disposal, leading to their release under specific conditions.

Recently, Laredo has seen an increase in public outcry over the violence against women. Streets have been plastered with signs reading “We are fed up and organized” and “Rapists out of our town,” highlighting the community’s demand for justice and prevention of such crimes.
