Vandalized School in Córdoba Closes Classes: ‘They Also Stole a Bell’

The return to school was a traumatic experience for the educational community at Roma School in the Alberdi neighborhood due to the vandalism discovered by authorities throughout various parts of the building. As a result, classes had to be suspended.

“We have been dealing with acts of vandalism and theft at the school since January,” said a teacher from the 93-year-old institution. Doors, locks, and sanitary equipment were among the items that were damaged.

In addition, she mentioned that thieves stole a historic bell belonging to the school and air conditioning units. “What they couldn’t steal, they broke,” she added during an interview with Radio Suquía.

The teacher emphasized that they filed the necessary reports, but there has been no response from security authorities or the justice system.

The educational community is hoping that in the coming hours, they will receive assurances to resume classes under acceptable conditions.
