Gospel singer Yaw Sarpong’s wife, Adwoa, recently shared her distressing experience on Oyerepa FM’s “Auntie Naa” show, revealing the challenges she faces in caring for her ailing husband. Yaw Sarpong, who has been battling a stroke for over a year, has been at the center of a family dispute that has left Adwoa feeling sidelined and mistreated.
Adwoa recounted that she initially took care of her husband at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH). However, Yaw Sarpong later requested that she stay home and pray for him while his sister took him to a pastor for treatment. When Adwoa visited him four days later, she found Maame Tiwaa, a fellow musician, attending to him, which deeply upset her.
In her interview, Adwoa expressed her frustration with Yaw Sarpong’s family, who she claims have barred her from seeing her husband and accused her of misusing his funds. She also alleged that Tiwaa has transitioned from being a vocalist to becoming Yaw Sarpong’s concubine, further complicating the situation.
Adwoa’s grievances include accusations of infidelity against Yaw Sarpong and claims that his family has mismanaged financial support provided by Vice President Dr. Bawumia for Yaw Sarpong’s medical care. Despite these challenges, Adwoa remains determined to care for her husband and seeks a resolution to the ongoing family conflict.
