Suri Cruise is officially a high school graduate! The daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise celebrated her milestone achievement on Friday, with her proud mom by her side.
Suri, 18, graduated from LaGuardia High School in New York City. She was seen beaming with joy as she posed for photos with Holmes and a friend. The celebration took place outside a brick building before heading into the United Palace Theatre in Manhattan’s Washington Heights neighborhood.
Dressed in a white sundress under her red graduation robe, Suri completed her look with white sandals adorned with floral embellishments. Her brunette hair was styled down, matching her mom’s look. Katie Holmes, 45, opted for a light yellow pleated pants and a collared long-sleeve shirt.
The event was filled with emotional moments, including Suri hugging friends and her mom. Notably absent was her father, Tom Cruise, who has been estranged from Suri for most of her life. Instead, he was spotted attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London.
Interestingly, Suri’s graduation pamphlet listed her as “Suri Noelle,” indicating she does not use her father’s last name. This fall, Suri is set to attend Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Earlier in the week, Suri attended her senior prom, looking all grown up in a ’90s-inspired floral gown. She was accompanied by friends and a brunette date.
Katie Holmes has been Suri’s primary caregiver since her split from Tom Cruise in 2012, gaining sole custody of their only child. The two have built a strong bond over the years, living together in New York City.
