Travis Barker is beaming with pride as he announces that his son, Landon Barker, will be joining Blink-182 on their upcoming tour. The Blink-182 drummer shared his excitement during his inaugural “Run Travis Run” wellness event on July 6. The event, held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, featured a 5K run and other wellness activities, and was attended by family members, including his wife Kourtney Kardashian and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya.
Travis, 48, couldn’t contain his joy as he spoke about Landon, 20, who will be performing as a guest artist on select tour dates. “He was at home rehearsing the last few days and I got to see him,” Travis said. “I’ve been helping him with music, while I’m home, here and there. So yeah, I’m really proud of him.”
Landon, who fronts his own band, has been preparing for his debut performance as an opener for Blink-182. His first show with the band is scheduled for July 11 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Travis shared that Landon has been working hard in rehearsals and is ready to hit the stage.
The tour, which is part of Blink-182’s “One More Time” tour, will see Landon performing at various shows alongside other guest artists like Pierce The Veil, Alexisonfire, and Hot Milk. Travis expressed his pride in Landon’s dedication and talent, saying, “Writing with my dad has been so much fun,” Landon revealed in a recent podcast interview. “When we’re working together, I love hearing his ideas. He’s always right.”
Landon’s journey into music has been supported by his father, who has been a guiding force in his career. “No, he’ll be like, ‘I don’t like that,’ which I love and which I need,” Landon said, appreciating his father’s honest feedback. “I almost appreciate it more when someone’s like, ‘Yea, this is really cool and I like this, this, and this about it, but I would change this because it’s like someone’s being honest.'”
Travis’s wellness event, Run Travis Run, aims to encourage people to get outside and stay active. “I don’t want it to be discouraging,” Travis said. “It should just be fun, and I feel like everyone can get out and do 5Ks. Even if they see this, and they don’t run it, maybe it motivates them to get outside.”
The event also highlighted the couple’s shared passion for wellness. “One of the main reasons we were so close is because we would always work out together, run together, or do stuff like that together before we were ever in a relationship,” Travis said of his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. “We were workout buddies forever. It was what started it all. It’s amazing to be with someone that has the same love for wellness.”
The couple, who married in 2022, have been blending their families and creating a supportive environment for their children. Travis shares Landon, Atiana, and daughter Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, while Kourtney shares kids Mason, Penelope, and Reign with ex Scott Disick. Together, they also have an 8-month-old son, Rocky Thirteen Barker.
Travis’s ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, has expressed her happiness for Travis and Kourtney’s marriage, emphasizing the importance of their children’s well-being. “The one thing we’ve always agreed on is our kids and the best interest of our children,” she said. “I’m happy for him. I think, you know, he’s in a good place… The kids love the new baby, Rocky.”
As Blink-182 continues their tour, Travis is excited to have his son by his side, sharing the stage and creating unforgettable memories. The tour, which began three weeks ago, will see the band performing across various cities, with Landon joining them for select dates.
Travis’s pride in his son’s achievements is evident, and he looks forward to seeing Landon shine on stage. “So yeah, I’m really proud of him,” Travis said, beaming with pride.
