July Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Revealed by Korean Business Research Institute

The Korean Business Research Institute has unveiled the brand reputation rankings for male idol groups for the month of July. These rankings were meticulously determined through an analysis of consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups, using big data collected from June 13 to July 13.

BTS has once again claimed the top spot on this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 5,555,349, reflecting a significant 35.67 percent increase in their score since June. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “Jimin,” and “digital music,” while their highest-ranking related terms were “exhibit,” “participate,” and “release.” The positivity-negativity analysis for BTS also revealed an impressive score of 92.18 percent positive reactions.

SEVENTEEN secured the second place for July with a brand reputation index of 4,560,496. SHINee made a remarkable leap to third place, experiencing a staggering 144.52 percent rise in their brand reputation index, bringing their total score for the month to 3,206,677. THE BOYZ came in fourth with a brand reputation index of 2,437,994, marking a 62.42 percent increase in their score since last month. ENHYPEN rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 2,276,888, reflecting a 44.45 percent rise in their score since June.

These rankings were determined through an analysis of consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 703 boy group members, using big data collected from June 16 to July 16.

BTS’s Jimin climbed back to the top of the list this month, marking his 42nd non-consecutive month at No. 1. His brand reputation index for July was 6,130,231, reflecting a 21.42 percent rise in his score since June. High-ranking phrases in Jimin’s keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “With You,” and “Instagram,” while his highest-ranking related terms were “record,” “release,” and “surpass.” Jimin’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 85.08 percent positive reactions.

Wanna One’s Kang Daniel took second place in the rankings with a brand reputation index of 5,317,589, marking a slight increase of 1.21 percent in his score since last month. BTS’s Jungkook rose to third place with a brand reputation index of 4,321,998, while ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo came in at a close fourth with a total index of 4,185,536. BTS’s V rounded out the top five for July with a brand reputation index of 4,009,434.
