50 Cent made a surprise appearance at a comedy roast for Diddy at the Dead Flamingo Pop Up in Miami on Saturday night. The event, which was a fundraiser for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, saw the rapper mingling with attendees and sharing shots of his Branson cognac.
Although 50 Cent didn’t take the stage, he made his presence felt by posing for photos and engaging with the crowd. True to his style, he later took to Instagram to confirm his attendance and share a humorous take on the evening. “Yes, I was in attendance I thought puffy might show up because I saw Tom Brady at his. 🤷🏽♂️ he didn’t come, I had the shooters 🎥 get your mind out gutter videographers 👀 what!” he wrote, clarifying that his “shooters” were actually videographers.
The roast featured performances from local comedians like Lonnie Cox, Ricky Cruz, and Drew Illa. Brittany Brave, who hosted the show, shared her personal connection to the cause. “Comedy is what pulled me out of an abusive relationship that lasted for three years and it continues to help all of us make sense of life, especially the parts of it that sting,” Brave said.
The event was not just about laughs but also aimed to address serious issues. “The Diddy scandal is topical right now so it made sense to join the conversation in a productive way,” Brave added. The evening successfully combined humor with a meaningful cause, making it a memorable night for all who attended.
