Alexia Nepola, star of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” has revealed that she and her estranged husband, Todd Nepola, have continued to hook up despite their ongoing divorce proceedings. During her recent appearance on the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, Alexia confirmed to co-hosts Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge that she and Todd have maintained a physical relationship since he filed for divorce in April.
“We’ve done it all,” Alexia shared enthusiastically. “We love each other and we’re super into each other.” The reality TV star, who is 57, also mentioned that the couple is actively working on their relationship through couples therapy. She noted that Todd’s primary issue with their marriage is the intense public scrutiny that comes with being married to a reality TV star.
“For me, I would want to get back together because I’m madly in love with him,” Alexia explained. “Being in the public eye is so much harder, and I think that’s one of the reasons he’s struggling with it.” She added that Todd might be “afraid” of her having so much control in their relationship due to her fame, a sentiment she believes many men might share.
Alexia expressed her shock and heartbreak over Todd’s decision to file for divorce, describing their marriage as “irretrievably broken.” She took to social media on April 14 to share her feelings, writing, “I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during this difficult time. I’m praying for better times ahead.”
Despite the separation, Alexia remains hopeful about their future together. She admitted that she still finds herself questioning how their marriage fell apart. “I don’t want to have any anger, but I understand that anger is also one of the grieving stages,” she said on her “Ay Por Favor” podcast with co-host Marysol Patton. “I find myself lost.”
Alexia is coping by focusing on the positive memories she shared with Todd and reminding herself that she is a “positive person.” The couple, who tied the knot in December 2021 at the Eden Rock hotel in St Barths, had their wedding delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Reflecting on their nuptials, Alexia recalled a symbolic moment when a sea turtle appeared during their ceremony, which she took as a sign of longevity, peace, and emotional strength.
The reality star also emphasized the importance of communication in their relationship. “I just believe that we have to have better communication,” she said. “We’re both strong people, and we struggle with the way that we communicate. For me, the marriage was working. I thought that there were typical fights and problems that every couple has. But it’s not how much you fight or how hard you fight; it’s being able to work through those fights and finding resolution.”
Alexia’s journey through this challenging time has been supported by her loved ones, including her two adult sons from her previous marriage to Pedro “Peter” Rosello. She recently shared a heartfelt tribute to her sons on Instagram, calling them her “priority” and the reason she keeps going. Her youngest son, Frankie, responded with a loving comment, “I love you mom,” accompanied by a red heart emoji.
The tension between Todd and Alexia’s oldest son, Peter, has been a point of contention in the past, as seen on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.” Alexia reflected on this, stating, “You can never judge. You have to be at the moment and really know the whole story in order to form an opinion.”
Despite the emotional turmoil, Alexia remains grateful for the outpouring of love and support from her friends, family, and followers. She took to her Instagram Story to thank everyone for their kindness, writing, “The outpouring of love and support that I have received from all of you has truly warmed my heart. Thank you. Love you all.”
As Alexia and Todd navigate their complicated relationship, fans of “The Real Housewives of Miami” will undoubtedly continue to follow their journey closely.
