On Tuesday, Economy Minister Luis Caputo met with supermarket representatives to discuss inflation and economic policy. He emphasized that there are currently “no macroeconomic reasons for inflation” and highlighted the importance of building trust in the economic model. Caputo pointed out that monetary measures aimed at curbing emission and ensuring fiscal stability would help reduce inflation. He further explained that consumers would not accept price increases.
During the discussion, the Minister and business leaders agreed on the need to lower the country tax and ensure that this reduction translates into lower prices. In this context, Caputo confirmed that the National Government’s goal is to lower taxes and inflation.
