Glastonbury was a full family affair for Chris Martin. The Coldplay frontman’s partner, Dakota Johnson, and his children, Apple Martin, 20, and Moses Martin, 18—whom he shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow—were all seen together in a VIP section cheering on his band as they performed a headlining set at the U.K. music festival on June 29.
Dakota, who multiple outlets reported in March has been privately engaged to Chris for years, was photographed standing with Apple, with Moses spotted a few feet away. The group was captured on camera on a BBC live stream of the event.
Dakota, 34, and Chris, 47, first sparked romance rumors in 2017 when she was spotted at a Coldplay concert. The Fifty Shades of Grey actress has since attended several, including in 2023 when her partner serenaded her onstage during a show in Italy.
Earlier this year, Dakota gushed about her support of the musician at his concerts. “I love watching him,” she told Bustle in an interview published in March. “I could watch him every day. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know… I’m watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing.”
The Madame Web star also spoke about her relationship with Chris and Gwyneth’s children. “I love those kids like my life depends on it,” she said. “With all my heart.”
As for her thoughts on becoming a mother herself someday, Dakota said, “I’m so open to that. I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything that life has to offer.” She added, “If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it.”
Dakota Johnson proved her relationship with Chris Martin is still going strong as she proudly watched her boyfriend perform at Glastonbury on Saturday night. The actress, 34, was spotted in the friends and family viewing area on the side of Pyramid Stage at the world-famous UK festival, with a prime view of Chris’ band Coldplay, who were headlining for a record-breaking fifth time.
Dakota was joined by Chris’ children Apple, 20, and Moses, 18, and a group of friends as they danced and sang along to the two-hour set. Chris, 47, who shares Apple and Moses with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, also had the likes of Tom Cruise, Gillian Anderson, and Simon Pegg in the audience for Coldplay’s incredible performance.
The sighting of Dakota at Glastonbury marks the first time she has been seen with Chris since February, amid rumors they had secretly split before recently reconciling. The last time the low-key power couple were seen together was in February during a loved-up trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The couple, who have been together since 2017, are said to be ‘going strong’ as they each are busy with their individual careers.
But insiders claim they secretly separated after hitting a snag in their relationship, before discreetly reuniting. A source told PEOPLE: “They’ve had ups and downs, but now they’re definitely back on.”
Martin is currently on the tail end of his Music Of The Spheres Tour with Coldplay, which began in March 2022 and ends in November with multiple dates in New Zealand. Then weeks later it was claimed that the two are ‘engaged’ back in March. It was said at the time the Coldplay singer proposed to the actress ‘a while ago’ and has the full blessing of his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, and their children.
The couple have kept their romance private since they first began their relationship six years ago. A source told The Mirror in March: “The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private. But now they are being open about it with their circles. They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable. They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official.”
Dakota was also seen wearing an emerald green ring on her wedding finger at her 34th birthday in Los Angeles last October.
Several famous faces were spotted in the crowd at Glastonbury Festival during Coldplay’s headline set, including frontman Chris Martin’s girlfriend Dakota Johnson. The Fifty Shades of Grey actress was seen supporting her beau as he took to the stage on Saturday, 29 June. Dakota, 34, watched Coldplay from the friends and family viewing area. She was joined by Chris’ two children, Moses, 18, and Apple, 20, who he shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, along with friends. The group danced and sang along to the band’s hits throughout the two-hour set.
Dakota wasn’t the only A-lister present at Glastonbury on Saturday night, as Hollywood star Tom Cruise was also seen watching Coldplay. He was joined by Gillian Anderson and Simon Pegg, with the trio standing in a VIP area together as the headline set got underway.
Chris’ children Apple and Moses were spotted at the festival. Apple and Moses looked in great spirits as they danced and sang along to their dad’s hits. The couple have kept their romance private since they first began their relationship six years ago.
Along with some A-list guests, Coldplay were watched by 100,000 festival-goers on Saturday night as they took to the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm. The British band made history as the only act in history to headline Glastonbury five times. Prior to their 2024 headline slot, both Coldplay and The Cure had headlined Glastonbury four times.
The performance was made extra special by a surprise guest. The band brought out Back To The Future star Michael J. Fox midway through their performance, much to the shock of fans. Michael, 63, who is battling Parkinson’s, appeared in his wheelchair. He played the guitar during hit tracks Fix You and Humankind. Frontman Chris, 47, credited the actor as the “reason” Coldplay became a band, branding him a “hero” in a sweet tribute.
