Ernesto Sevilla Shares His Experience of Amaia Montero’s Comeback

Dani Rovira, Ernesto Sevilla, Casandra Ciangherotti, El Langui, and María Hervás recently premiered their latest project, “Cuerpo escombro.” This comedy addresses disability and carries a powerful underlying message.

The premiere was attended by numerous familiar faces. Among the guests were Juan Dávila, the stars of “Campeones,” Grecia Castta, Luis Larrodera with his family, Laila Jiménez, Cristobal Suárez, Dani ‘el gallo,’ Irene Villa, Inés Ballester, Modesto Lomba, Rafael Amargo, as well as Luciana or Ignacio de Borbón with his partner Paula Colubi, to name a few.

In a conversation with Ernesto Sevilla, various current topics were discussed, including the recent return of Amaia Montero. He expressed excitement, stating, “It gave us goosebumps, yes, yes, yes. It was a comeback, especially with that song.” He shared his admiration for her, mentioning, “I’m a big fan of ‘La Oreja de Van Gogh’ and also of Amaia Montero. Now that she’s back and has been so successful, people are going to wonder… So, who should we follow?”

Sevilla described Amaia’s return as “very beautiful and spectacular,” emphasizing that only an artist of her caliber could make such a comeback: “You have to do it like she did.”

Maintaining his signature sense of humor, Ernesto jokingly revealed that he doesn’t personally know anyone from the Royal House. “I’ve almost met them; I’d love to, but no, I don’t have any anecdotes with them.”

And in a fun twist, he hinted at the idea of inviting Froilán to one of his shows to enter his social circle. “Absolutely! I’d love for him to come to… maybe an after-party. That would be really cool. Froilán is the expert, right?”
