It’s actually why I hesitated about whether I would accept this role or not because of my fear of cats,” she admitted. “I had to get over my fear of cats before I could start this movie. But they were spectacular.”
Quinn also shared his thoughts on overcoming fears for roles, noting that every job comes with its own set of challenges. “I think every job has a certain set of fears that you have to overcome. I think you’re going into an environment you don’t really know,” he explained. “But I haven’t had anything as drastic as Lupita had. That was a pretty dramatic fear that she had. She did a lot of therapy and now look where she’s got up to! She’s obsessed with cats now.”
Fans can look forward to seeing Quinn and Nyong’o face off against an alien invasion in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” which hits theaters on June 28.
