Justin Bieber has severed ties with his Hollywood business manager, Lou Taylor, who was previously accused by Britney Spears of being involved in her 13-year conservatorship. The pop star, 30, initially partnered with Taylor’s firm, Tri Star Sports And Entertainment Group, in late 2022 to manage his companies, including Bieber Time Touring LLC, Justin Bieber Brands LLC, and Bieber Time Merchandise.
However, sources have disclosed that Bieber ended his relationship with Taylor last month following a series of negative press reports. He has since enlisted the services of Edward White, Johnny Depp’s business manager. This decision came shortly after Tri Star employee Robin Greenhill, who had worked as Spears’ former assistant, was implicated in a lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs earlier this year.
“Justin’s split with Lou was not amicable,” a source revealed. “He fired her. People usually stay with their accountant for a long time, but Justin was only with Tri Star for two years.” The source added that the split occurred in May, following the Diddy raid. Bieber’s financial matters are now being managed by Edward White.
Greenhill was named in Combs’ lawsuit as the accountant who allegedly managed payments to sex workers. Music producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones accused Combs of sexual harassment, drugging, and threats. Combs has denied these allegations, calling Jones a “liar” in a statement shared with Us Weekly via his lawyer.
Edward White, who founded his firm in 1976, has been working with Depp since 2016. He testified in Depp’s defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, in 2022. White also assisted Depp in a lawsuit against The Management Group over financial mismanagement in 2017.
Bieber, who is currently managed by Scooter Braun, joined forces with Tri Star while his Justice World Tour was on hold due to health issues. The remaining shows were canceled in February 2023 after Bieber revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which causes facial paralysis.
An insider told DailyMail.com that Bieber’s focus on his health has changed his career outlook. “He still wants to perform for his fans but on his own terms. A residency would be perfect because it would allow him to control the dates of his performances and stay in one place, leading to a less hectic lifestyle,” the insider said.
Since 2022, Bieber has only performed a few times, leading many fans to believe he has no plans for another world tour. His Bieber Time Touring LLC is currently suspended due to issues with the California Franchise Tax Board.
Bieber, who is expecting his first child with wife Hailey Baldwin, decided to cut ties with Tri Star months after Combs’ accuser made headlines with his sexual lawsuit against the rapper. The producer is suing Combs over claims of serious illegal activities, including sexual assault.
According to Jones’ lawsuit, Greenhill issued payments to sex workers on a monthly basis via wire transfer, cash payment, or funds transfer. The lawsuit alleges that Greenhill ensured payments were made to sex workers, including City Girls rapper Yung Miami and models Jade Ramey and Daphne Joy, all of whom have denied Jones’ allegations.
Britney Spears has also accused Taylor of being involved in her father’s alleged financial misconduct and mismanagement during her conservatorship. In her 2023 memoir, “The Woman in Me,” Spears claimed that Greenhill “ruled” her daily activities and monitored her every move. She described her father, Lou, and Robin as bullies and expressed her desire to remove them from her life.
Spears’ attorney released emails from 2008 in which Taylor expressed her eagerness to work with Jamie Spears’ legal team and indicated that Tri Star would serve as a co-conservator of Spears’ multimillion-dollar estate. Spears also revealed that her father had been financially indebted to Taylor, who had loaned him at least $40,000 before the conservatorship began.
In 2021, Taylor stated that she had no role in the creation of Spears’ conservatorship. However, Spears’ attorney cast doubt on this claim by releasing emails suggesting otherwise. Taylor’s lawyer told the New York Times in 2021 that the loan had no effect on Tri Star’s work for the estate in later years.
