Paul Wesley has provided fans with an update on Nina Dobrev’s recovery following her e-bike accident last month. The Vampire Diaries star took to social media to share the latest news about his co-star’s condition.
Wesley, who played Stefan Salvatore on the hit series, expressed his relief and happiness over Dobrev’s successful surgery. “Nina is doing well and is in good spirits,” he wrote. “Her surgery went smoothly, and she’s on the road to recovery.”
Dobrev herself has been keeping her followers informed about her progress. She recently posted on Instagram, thanking everyone for their support. “Surgery was a success,” she wrote. “Thank you to everyone who has been sending kind messages, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes. In her Instagram Story, Dobrev shared her apprehensions before the surgery. “Anyone else get scared before surgery? I’m such a baby when it comes to needles, blood, or procedures of any kind,” she admitted.
The actress first revealed her accident on May 20, posting a photo of herself on an e-bike followed by an image of her in a hospital bed with a neck brace and a splint on her leg. “How it started vs how it’s going,” she captioned the post.
Many celebrities have sent their well-wishes, including Sarah Michelle Gellar and Zooey Deschanel. Dobrev’s boyfriend, Olympian Shaun White, also showed his support, commenting, “Just keeping things on brand.”
