Royal expert Kinsey Schofield has issued a stern warning to those doubting Princess Catherine’s recovery post-surgery. Schofield believes critics will feel “incredibly guilty” once the full truth is revealed.
Schofield, a well-known royal commentator, has criticized celebrities and the public for making light of the Princess of Wales’s health issues. She emphasized that those mocking Kate Middleton will soon feel “horrifically ashamed” of their actions.
“I know someone who goes to school with her children,” Schofield shared with Sky News. “I also have another contact in the area, and they both mentioned seeing her. The neighborhood is fiercely protective of her.”
According to Schofield, the local community finds the ongoing speculation about Kate’s health “ridiculous and unfair.” She added, “Once everyone has the same information, we will all feel incredibly guilty.”
Schofield specifically called out Kim Kardashian and Blake Lively for reportedly making fun of Middleton’s absence and the recent photo-editing scandal. “Kim Kardashian is making fun of the Princess of Wales, and Blake Lively is making light of this subject. Everyone will feel horrifically ashamed and real guilt about how we’ve behaved throughout this process,” she stated.
News anchor Rina Panahi noted that the public’s response stems from genuine concern for the Princess’s well-being. Over the weekend, Kate was seen visiting a farm shop in Windsor with her husband, Prince William.
“She is one of the most visible and hardest-working royals. To disappear from sight with no explanation other than she had abdominal surgery, without details on the surgery or recovery time, invites conjecture,” Panahi explained. “The royal family knows they’ll face this kind of speculation.”
Panahi suggested that a brief public appearance or a short video message from Kate could silence the rumors. “If she is fine and can be seen around the village, why can’t she do a 10-second Zoom video to reassure everyone?” she questioned.
Concerns about Middleton’s health intensified after she posted a doctored photo for UK Mother’s Day earlier this month. Before her recent outing, the lack of public sightings since her planned abdominal surgery on January 17 at the London Clinic fueled further speculation.
Since returning home from her two-week hospital stay, Kate has largely stayed out of the limelight, recovering at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. Her absence has led to various conspiracy theories, especially after the heavily edited Mother’s Day image received a “kill notice” from major press agencies.
Middleton’s senior staffers claimed they had not seen or spoken to her in recent weeks and were unaware of her health issues until after her surgery. The Princess is expected to return to public duties after Easter, which falls on March 31, 2024.
Schofield reiterated that those doubting the Princess will feel “horrifically ashamed” when the truth comes out. She emphasized that the local community finds the speculation “ridiculous and unfair.”
Panahi acknowledged that the royal family’s handling of the situation has led to more rumors. “Queen Elizabeth II worked even when she was ill. The current approach is giving rise to more rumors, such as the claim that Prince William had an affair,” she said.
Schofield responded by saying that no one has been able to prove these rumors. “They started around 2018 or 2019. Lady Rose is a friend of the Princess of Wales. Her son was a page boy at King Charles’ coronation last year,” she explained.
A recent video showing Kate carrying bags outside a local farm shop with Prince William has failed to silence online trolls. Some speculated that the woman in the clip was a body double or that the footage was created using artificial intelligence (AI).
Professional lookalike Heidi Agan revealed that her Instagram was bombarded with comments asking if the woman in the photo was her. “I was at work at the time, so I know that is not me. I 100 percent believe that is Kate Middleton and William in that video,” Agan told The Mirror.
The Princess of Wales’s whereabouts have been the center of speculation for weeks. Her absence intensified after a failed Photoshopping attempt led to a mandatory kill notice from major photo agencies and an awkward apology from Kate herself.
A witness at the farm shop in Windsor said they were “pleasantly surprised” to see the Princess out in public and healthy again. “After all the rumors, I was stunned to see them there. Kate looked happy and well,” they said.
The Princess of Wales was admitted to the hospital on January 16 for abdominal surgery, with a return to public life slated for Easter. Her last public appearance was on December 25 during the royal family’s traditional walk to the Christmas morning service in Sandringham.
