Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Erases Social Media Amid Scandal
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has taken a drastic step by deleting all posts from his Instagram account, which boasts nearly 20 million followers. This move comes amid a series of legal troubles and scandals that have engulfed the music mogul. Notably, the deleted posts include a video apology related to a 2016 assault on his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
The Instagram wipeout leaves Combs’ page almost entirely empty, with only a bio promoting his latest album, “The Love Album: Off the Grid.” Despite this, his posts on other social media platforms like Threads and X (formerly Twitter) remain visible, although he hasn’t been active on these platforms recently.
Combs, 54, is currently embroiled in multiple legal issues, including a federal sex trafficking investigation that led to law enforcement raiding his Los Angeles and Miami homes in March. His lawyer, Aaron Dyer, criticized the raids, describing them as an excessive use of force.
The scandal intensified in November 2023 when Cassie Ventura accused Combs of rape and physical violence in a lawsuit. Although the case was settled the following day for an undisclosed amount, the controversy didn’t end there. Surveillance footage from March 2016 surfaced, showing Combs assaulting Ventura, which led to further public outcry.
In addition to Ventura’s allegations, Combs faces multiple lawsuits from other individuals accusing him of sexual assault. One of the most recent suits was filed by April Lampros, who accused Combs of drugging and raping her during her time as a student at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology.
The legal troubles have also affected Combs’ personal life. He missed significant milestones in his children’s lives, including his twin daughters’ prom and his daughter Chance’s high school graduation. Family members believe he is trying to lay low amid the ongoing legal battles.
Adding to the turmoil, popular podcaster Dawn Montgomery announced her resignation from Combs’ Revolt TV, citing the sexual assault allegations against him as the reason for her departure. Montgomery, a survivor of sexual assault herself, stated she could not continue to be part of a show that aims to uplift Black women while Combs leads the company.
Despite the mounting allegations and legal issues, Combs has denied all wrongdoing through his lawyer. Federal prosecutors are reportedly preparing to bring his accusers before a grand jury, indicating that an indictment may be imminent.
