Our Summer Horror Preview 2024 is here! The upcoming summer promises a thrilling lineup of horror films, a welcome change after a slow start for the genre this year. With a packed schedule, horror enthusiasts will have plenty to keep them entertained until Halloween. This summer’s lineup includes some of the most anticipated titles, such as MaXXXine, Alien: Romulus, and Longlegs.

The Watchers – June 7 (Theaters)
Ishana Night Shyamalan’s feature debut stars Georgina Campbell and Dakota Fanning. The plot follows a woman trapped with three strangers, stalked by mysterious creatures every night.
Tiger Stripes – June 14 (Theaters)
Amanda Nell Eu’s directorial debut is a coming-of-age horror story about a young girl experiencing horrifying physical changes as she hits puberty.
The Exorcism – June 21 (Theaters)
Russell Crowe stars as Anthony Miller, a troubled actor unraveling while shooting a supernatural horror film. Written by M.A. Fortin and directed by Joshua John Miller.
Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person – June 21 (Limited Theaters)
A young vampire grapples with her need for blood and finds a potential solution in a young man with suicidal tendencies. Directed by Ariane Louis-Seize.
The Devil’s Bath – June 28 (Shudder)
Austrian filmmakers Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala present a period horror film set in 1750 Austria, where a newlywed woman feels trapped and prone to violent thoughts.
A Quiet Place: Day One – June 28 (Theaters)
The next installment in the A Quiet Place franchise takes place at the start of the invasion in New York City. Starring Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, and Alex Wolff.
Kill – July 4 (Theaters)
Though not a horror film, Kill’s violent and bloody action will appeal to horror fans. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, it follows an army commando on a kill spree aboard a New Delhi-bound train.
MaXXXine – July 5 (Theaters)
The third entry in Ti West’s slasher trilogy follows Maxine (Mia Goth) as she continues her journey towards fame in 1980s Los Angeles.
Longlegs – July 12 (Theaters)
Osgood Perkins’ Longlegs stars Nicolas Cage as a serial killer and Maika Monroe as the young FBI agent on his trail.
Oddity – July 19 (Theaters)
Damian Mc Carthy’s supernatural revenge tale features a sinister mannequin and a blind medium. Starring Gwilym Lee, Carolyn Bracken, and Tadhg Murphy.
Starve Acre – July 26 (Theaters)
Set in 1970s rural England, this folk horror film stars Matt Smith and Morfydd Clark. Directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and based on Andrew Michael Hurly’s book.
Cuckoo – August 2 (Theaters)
Tilman Singer’s horror film follows a teen who relocates to a strange resort in Germany. The cast includes Dan Stevens, Jessica Henwick, and Hunter Schafer.
Borderlands – August 9 (Theaters)
Eli Roth’s video game adaptation features an ensemble cast including Jack Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Cate Blanchett. The plot involves battling alien monsters and dangerous bandits.
