Paris Hilton recently shared a heartwarming first photo of her daughter, London Marilyn Hilton-Reum, months after announcing her arrival. The 43-year-old socialite and DJ posted the family photo on Instagram, featuring herself, her husband Carter Reum, their son Phoenix, and their baby daughter London. “Introducing London Marilyn Hilton-Reum,” Hilton captioned the photos, expressing her long-held dream of having a daughter named London.
Hilton’s joy was palpable as she shared her gratitude for her daughter’s presence. “I’m so grateful she is here. I truly cherish every moment I spend with her. Together with Phoenix, my angel babies have shown me a love that I never even knew could run so deep before I became their mother,” she wrote.
Both of Hilton’s children were born through surrogacy, a journey that inspired her new song with singer-songwriter Sia, titled “Fame Won’t Love You.” Hilton explained that the song serves as a reminder of the invaluable bond she shares with her children, husband, and family. “It’s an anthem that will empower you to hold your most sacred relationships even closer to your heart — whether with family, friends, or yourself,” she added.
Hilton first announced London’s birth in November 2023, sharing a photo of a pink baby outfit with “London” emblazoned on it. She revealed that she had been planning her children’s names for years, always knowing she wanted a daughter named London because of her love for the city.
Fans had noticed London’s absence from Hilton’s social media, prompting her to explain her decision to keep her daughter out of the public eye. “I feel like my life has just been so public with everything,” she told E! News. “So I just wanted to keep my little girl to me. But I’m gonna show her to the world soon ‘cause everyone keeps asking.”
On Sunday, July 7, Hilton shared a special moment on Instagram, revealing that she had taken her nearly 8-month-old daughter to London for the first time. In a sweet video, Hilton cooed at London, who was lying on a bed in a colorful playsuit. “London is in London!” Hilton declared, showering her daughter with kisses. “Hi smiley girl,” she added.
The sentimental video was captioned, “London Hilton at The London Hilton✨👶🏼🏨✨,” highlighting their stay at the iconic hotel. “So in love with my little Princess! 👑 Bringing her to the city she’s named after for the first time is a dream come true! 🥹,” Hilton wrote. She also shared her own special connection to the hotel, mentioning that she had spent every summer there since she was a baby. “Now I get to share this special family tradition with my daughter, London🩷,” she added. “Named after my favorite city in the world! 🥰🇬🇧 Can’t wait to make new memories together at my favorite @Hilton in #London @LondonHiltonPL 💖✨.”
Hilton and Reum welcomed London in November 2023, and they also share a 17-month-old son, Phoenix Barron, born in January 2023. The proud mom frequently posts about her children on social media. On July 4, she shared an adorable video of Phoenix giving her kisses on a plane, both dressed in cozy pajamas. “In flight kisses with Baby P on #SlivAir 🥰👶🏼👶🏼✈️. My heart feels so full!🥹 Never dreamed I could feel so happy and at peace 🥲,” she captioned the video.
In a recent interview with Romper, Hilton revealed why she had kept her family planning under wraps, even from her own relatives. She and Reum introduced baby London to the extended Hilton family as a Thanksgiving surprise. “My life has been so public, so out there. I didn’t want my son coming into this world with any negative energy,” Hilton explained. “I’m really happy I did it that way, just for Carter and I to have that journey together without the outside world chirping in.”
Hilton, who refers to her family as “the cutesy crew,” had always dreamed of having a daughter. “I always imagined my mini-me, putting her in little dresses and all the mommy-and-me things we could do together,” she said. Her mother, Kathy Hilton, and sister Nicky Hilton were aware of London’s impending arrival but not the exact timing. The public was kept in the dark about both pregnancies, as Hilton maintained her busy public schedule.
Hilton’s decision to use a surrogate was influenced by her past experiences, which included sexual abuse and medical trauma at a boarding school in Utah. “I just have so much PTSD from what I went through as a teenager,” she said. “If I’m in a doctor’s office, I get a shot, anything, I will literally have a panic attack and I can’t breathe. I just knew that would not be healthy for me or the baby, growing inside of someone who has such high anxiety.”
Despite her past as a club fixture, Hilton anticipates being a strict parent. “It’s a scary world out there, especially today. I’m just terrified when they become teenagers,” she said. She expressed a desire to keep her children away from the entertainment industry, hoping they might pursue careers as scientists instead.
Hilton calls this stage of her life her “mom era,” describing it as her best era yet. “I used to look at my friends who’d be like, ‘Oh, I have to go home to my kids and my husband,’ like, ‘You’re so lame. This is so fun. I can’t imagine being like that,’” she said. “Now I’m one of those boring people, and I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.”
